Mystic River

Jimmy, Sean and Dave are typical kids in a Boston neighbourhood, playing street hockey and causing mischief, when two strangers posing as cops abduct Dave right before their eyes and their world is turned upside down.

Fast forward a number of years and a dark tale of secrets emerges as Sean, a police detective,  trys to solve the murder of Jimmy’s fifteen year old daughter.  Quiet, reclusive Dave becomes the prime suspect and Sean digs through the facts and testimony to uncover the truth, racing against time as Jimmy begins to suspect Dave of killing his daughter and makes plans to take justive into his own hands.

Clint Eastwood creates an atmosphere of remorse and suppressed emotions that come charging to the surface.   An intense viewing experience.
